About Mount Agung
Mount Agung is an active stratovolcano that dominates the landscape of eastern Bali. At 3,031 meters, it is the highest point on the island. The Balinese consider it the spiritual center of the universe, and its slopes house Pura Besakih, the island's holiest temple complex.
Hiking Mount Agung is a serious physical challenge. Trekkers navigate steep scree slopes and sharp volcanic rocks in the dark to reach the summit by sunrise. Difficulty & Fitness
